MULTI AWARD WINNING SALON

Sisters Jane and Vicki had the initial vision to bring a high-end London salon to Maldon, and after lots of amazing memories, love, sweat and hard work they celebrate over a decade in business.

Reed Hair has evolved into a true destination salon housed in the most beautiful Victorian building set over three floors and is nestled conveniently in the heart of the buzzing high-street.

Ever the innovators, Jane and Vicki have put a brand new vision into practice and have developed a new service structure, plus a beautiful new space.

Together they have transformed the salon from the inside-out taking Reed Hair to a new and fabulous level of tailor made, luxury hairdressing!

This not a review of my hairdresser at all. Charlie is lovely and I am very pleased with my hair but I left the salon very upset and unhappy.
When I first went to Reed I was told the appt was a 90min appt as a new client and so we could discuss my hair and needs etc. nothing was mentioned about pricing etc but I was told if she didn’t need the 90 mins she would cut it down. My haircut was £97.50
For my appt today I asked for the appt to be an hour long as I then knew the pricing was based on minutes not specific treatments, therefore £65. I had my haircut and my hair dried within the hour. I went to pay and make another appt and was told by the receptionist that I had to have a 90minute appt for curly hair!
I was not allowed to make my next appointment if I wanted an hour and not the specified 90minutes @ £97.50
I am furious & was made to feel very uncomfortable, is this how this company want people to feel after leaving their salon?

My usual stylist was not available, so I booked with Casey. It’s always a bit nerve wracking seeing a new stylist, but Casey was brilliant. She took some time to understand my hair, what I was looking for, what bothered me about the current cut and colour. She then clearly explained what she recommended and set to work. She was very professional and clearly takes great pride in her work. The end result was one of the best cuts and colours I’ve ever had. Highly recommend booking with her.

Reeds feels special as soon as you walk through the door, staff very welcoming and helpful! Sat down looking in mirror at straggly, thin grey hair and feeling very old and dowdy! Sisters Jane and Vicki had the initial vision to bring a high-end London salon to Maldon, and after lots of amazing memories, love, sweat and hard work they celebrate over a decade in business.
