Absolutely love my visits to Strangeways, such a lovely friendly atmosphere. The only place where I’ve ever been I got the exact cut & colour I want every single time, highly recommend this salon you won’t leave disappointed

First time I’ve been here, brilliant atmosphere and April, the stylist was really informative and gave me a lovely haircut. Really enjoyed the experience and will definitely go back

It’s always a good day at Strangeways. I was in for my regular 6 week visit with Martyn and came away with a fresh look and feeling fabulous.
The atmosphere is friendly and fun, but the fab team is deadly serious about delivering a great service. Why go anywhere else?!

I had my hair done yesterday with Sam Arnold at Strangeways. I always enjoy having my hair done with Sam. He always listens too exactly what I would like done, but also gives me good advice and ideas for my hair. I had half a head of highlights and I absolutely love the blonde shade that he's done. Thank you so much for my lovely hair Sam and thanks Strangeways for always being so friendly when I visit ??

Pru made my hair lighter blonde with all over hilites . To brighten me up now that Winter has arrived . A smidge off the ends haircut as I’m still growing it longer. A blow dry and straighten and lots of Fudge hairshine spray . I always enjoy my visits to the salon . A warm welcome from everyone xx thanks Louise ??‍♀️

Nadine is a wonder. She’s been my hairdresser for years and my hair always looks fab, but my favourite is when she uses great lengths extensions to make my hair look incredible. They’re so natural and last 6 months with no hassle! Thanks Nadine, as always xxx

After not visiting a hairdresser for 3 years due to severe anxiety, I bit the bullet and booked in with Sam for a restyle. The experience was simply perfect! I walked in feeling terrified but left feeling amazing, so for today at least, I have pushed those anxieties aside and can hold my head up a bit higher!

Go to the salon every week for a blow dry. Not local to me but worth the 30 minute drive. 10 out of 10

As always, great experience, very welcoming. Nadine has been colouring, cutting and blow drying my hair for the last 16 years. She always consults giving new ideas, suggestions and does the best blow dry ever. Always lasts me 4 days. Recommend booking in advance, very busy lady.

Danielle did an amazing job with my hair. I had no idea what I wanted so she helped me come up with the idea and it looks perfect! I am so happy with the result and can’t wait to go out with it

I had a new colour change as Nadine recommended it to me. She always suggests new styles and colour options which is great as I find it extremely helpful. As always, I enjoyed my hair appointment as it’s like meeting up with an old friend but obviously she is very professional as well.

It has been my first time in the salon and my appointment was with Sam. Since the beginning he has been caring and enthusiastic to help me to find my right cut and colour with a free consultation. he did a skin test on me (and no all the hairdresser do that, it s a sign of being professional). He gave me some advice about cut and how to take care of it. He took all the time my hair cut needed, with no rush. my result is amazing, I am really happy and I ll be back in a week for the colour. They are all lovely, from the receptionist to the boss. They offered me a coffee and Sam gave me a head massage that was amazing. Definitely worth it. and Sam is absolutely professional and lovely. bravo Sam!

Great experience. I have not seen Nadine for 10 months, as I wanted to grow my hair out. Very well looked after, and I was asked at each stage how I wanted to proceed with the cut, highlights and toner. Thank you, great result!

My daughter doesn't even like me brushing her hair but her hair looked like an old ladies and I desperately wanted it to have a style. Sam gave Ida the cutest little Bob. He made her feel at ease and she even let him blow dry it! She sat on my lap as initially she didn't feel at ease but soon enough she was loving it! I'm chuffed with the result and really pleased I went to Strangeways for this.

Sam is great. Everyone is great. Great that you can book online! Reception and staff very friendly. Sam works in the moment, if between cuts he sees a different approach to take, he will say so, and that in itself is commendable. He's an artist, I walk in with a hair do that's long overdue a cut, and walk out like a modern day princess, ready to take on the world! I'll be back for colour Sam, be ready! Sandra x

I always have my hair cut and coloured by Nadine ..I travel from colchester as Nadine has a complete understanding of to deal with my really thick hair !
She is absolutely lovely .. attentive to detail but has good ideas for your hair type!
I always love having my hair washed by the staff and the whole four hours I’m usually there for I’m looked after and spoilt !

As soon as I walked in, I felt very welcome. The receptionist was extremely friendly and approachable. Rachel who took time to talk to me after I turned up unannounced was so helpful and professional. She understood exactly what I wanted even though I wasn’t exactly sure myself. I’m looking forward to my first appointment in a couple of weeks.
