I haven’t been for a hair appointment for around 2 years as I don’t particularly enjoy it, but what an experience. Emily was amazing and cut and finished my hair to perfection. The additional little touches like the tea in a tea pot just made the experience much more special, unique and individual. I have even booked to go back again

Had my hair done today with Emily. The attention to detail and customer care was amazing in The Strand. I came in as a model for balayage & a butterfly cut which I love and I am so happy with. Emily was lovely and we had a detailed consultation beforehand to agree on what tone of blonde, how short of a cut ect. The attention to detail from Emily was amazing & the appointment was not rushed at all she was very meticulous and thorough. Thanks for the cuppa & biccies and a lovely hair pamper 🤍 looking forward to coming back in future!

Great experience, lovely people, gave me tips in looking after my hair and how i can try and fix it as it is a bit damaged. I would have liked to have left a tip but Im a bit skint at the moment so unfortunately i couldnt. I will deffinately be back.

Had a brilliant hair cut with Meg yesterday. First time going to The Strand and about the 5th salon ive tried since moving to Hull 4 years ago. I have quite springy/curly hair and have struggled to get it cut properly until now. I had pieces missing from my fringe and chunks missing from the rest of it where it hadn't been layered very well. Meg blended it all in and somehow sorted out my fringe. She's sorted out my hair without losing much overall length and has given it a fuller rounder shape cut in round my face as I asked. Im super pleased and relieved I've found a hairdresser i can grow my hair with now and who understands how to cut more textured hair. Highly recommend.

I had a half head balayage with Meg and a cut with Briony, and the whole experience was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in, all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, making me feel completely comfortable and at ease.

I was lucky enough to come runner-up in one of their competitions, which gave me 50% off my appointment. As this was my first ever visit to a salon, I was a little nervous, but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. The complimentary drinks were a lovely touch, and both Meg and Briony were fantastic at what they do. I'm so happy with the results and couldn't recommend this salon enough. Thank you for making my first salon experience such a special one – I'll definitely be back!

I came in on Friday to give my hair some much-needed TLC, feeling nervous and unsure after previous experiences where I felt brushed off by other hairdressers.
From the moment I arrived, everyone was so warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. My stylist, Emily, was absolutely amazing — so kind, understanding, and reassuring. She never once judged the condition of my hair and instead took the time to support me, explain everything, and use products that genuinely helped my hair feel healthier and refreshed.
This was honestly one of the best hair experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve already rebooked for July.

Treated my mum to a hair treatment, haircut and blow dry — and wow, it was worth every second.

She walked in for a little pamper and came out absolutely glowing. The cut was so flattering and fresh, and the blow dry gave her that soft, bouncy finish that just made her feel amazing. Ferhat (hairstylist) worked his magic again. Thank you

I am so happy with the haircut Ferhat did today. He is very talented and friendly. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he nailed it! I came in with very dry, shapeless hair, and he did an amazing job using great products to restore moisture. The staff brought me coffee and biscuits, which I really appreciated, and I loved the head massage—very relaxing! I will definitely come back next time I’m in Hull 😊

The staff were friendly and professional, taking the time to listen to exactly what I wanted. My stylist was especially attentive, offering helpful suggestions while still respecting my preference. It was clear he was knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about his work.
