KH Hair Salon Ilkeston, Derbyshire

So the first time I visited the salon I showed a picture and asked for a balayage and because I had reddish tones to my hair they said it would take longer to come out so I payied £122 on the 1st june and got told next time it would be lighter so I booked in for 30th June as I really disliked the colour so I came on the 30th and got charged another £98 and that was leaving the salon with wet hair I got home and dried it and it looked awful I was up all night thinking about it so they got me back in the next day and corrected it and charged me another £38 and that was leaving the salon with half dried hair
I feel very disappointed in how much I paid and would like some one to ring me back and see if I’ve been charged right as £258 seem like a very high price to charge I have photos of the day I left the salon and friends and family can’t believe how much I paid to say it’s supposed to be a professional salon I feel very upset as I’ve seen other salons charge less for better quality

Judith knew exactly what I meant when we discussed what I wanted changing about my hair. Really friendly, chatty and made it a lovely after work treat!

I decided to go with a balayage as I’ve seen some beautiful hair on Google so thought I would treat myself to something a bit more pricey.. When I first when in for a patch test the consultation was really positive and I was really excited. On the day of my new hair the stylist was very welcoming, friendly and lovely however not to sure on colours for my hair as I’m naturally auburn. The salon was spotless, had a good atmosphere and is a lovely place but unfortunately I feel disappointed with my balayage.. you can hardly tell I’ve had it done and it just looks like a small highlight on the ends,it was expensive and I just expected more of a wow factor. As stated the stylist was lovely but the balayage is not up to scratch, I have thought about calling the salon but don’t see what they could now do

Judith is really lovely and caring and she always does a excellent job of cutting and styling my hair.

Judith always consults me first about what I want. She is friendly and welcoming and interested in me. I’m always offered a drink. She washes my hair herself and gives me a short head massage. I feel pampered.

As I’ve been coming to KH for over 50 yrs I think that speaks for itself.
The salon and staff are welcoming, always pleasant and helpful to everyone. This morning the temperature was just right. Which cannot be easily achieved with such changes in the weather.
I don’t know what I’d do if Judith ever left she’s done my hair for years and always gets it just right even though it’s always been very course and thick. Thank you all for all you do for so many people even when they don’t always appreciate you.
