I just love my visits to KH Sadlergate. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, which creates a lovely atmosphere to be in. Kayleigh has done a fabulous job with my hair. I love the colour and she has cut it just the way I wanted.

I am very unhappy with the outcome. Everything about my hair is wrong I have never been shown an option of toners when I asked the hairstylist what toner she’s put in, her response was it’s too many numbers I can tell you if you want …… she’s not discussed the toners. My hair looks very blunt I asked for balayage and it’s more of highlights… the worst part is that I have patchy parts and that was my biggest fear, when I went for a consultation I said to the stylist that I do not want “sunkissed “ look I don’t like warm tones and she’s done the opposite I have golden undertone and it looks very brassy, I went for a consultation with my previous hairstylist and she will have to do a full head balayage to fix everything… so now I will have to pay another full amount for my hair to look how I like it.. absolutely devastated as it’s not cheap

Firstly, we are sorry that you aren’t happy with you hair. Unfortunately we don’t like to show clients toners as toners ‘tone unwanted tones’ in your hair and if we were to show you a swatch of the toners we used it wouldn’t look like that on your hair, therefore we’d be giving you an unrealistic expectation. We did however discuss that we were going to use a mixture of gold (warm) and cool tones to help create an overall creamy tone, as you stated in your consultation. We also did a ‘Foiliage’ method on your hair instead of freehand balayage which again you specifically asked for. When you left your appointment you were very happy with your hair and said you’d be coming back as you preferred how our stylist did it compared to your previous salon, we’re sorry that you’ve now changed your mind. As discussed we are happy to fix this in salon free of charge for you. But it’s obvious we aren’t the salon for you anymore.

Went to ask for my bleach panels root retouched, and toned. I came out with yellow hair, and bleach had ran causing my hair to have bleach bleed. I contacted the salon and they asked me to come back to change it, they used a different toner. However I didn’t think I was listened in the consultation regarding the correction, I said that it was very yellow looked like I had tiger stripes. I was taken to the back wash for the new toner the stylist kept going back and fourth with the toner I don’t think she knew how much she needed. Once taken back to the chair I said my hair looked orange at the top where my natural roots were where the bleach had bled. I have dark brunette hair, this area is now a light copper auburn where the bleach has stripped my natural roots. I said in the chair that this still looks orangey the stylist took me back to back wash to apply more toner. When blow drying it I said it look very coppery at the top where my natural roots are. I am not impressed with the service I didn’t feel like I was listened in my consultation at all. I don’t have a difficult colour style it’s very basic and for some reason it was disastrous. Less than a week the toners been in and now my hair has gone yellow after washing my hair and still have copper roots. For saying I paid £81 it looks like I did it myself at home with a box dye. This has always been my hair style and now I’m constantly wearing my hair up embarrassed that my hair is copper at the top and the toner has rinsed away that my bleach pieces are now back yellow. I had this hair during Covid and I was never that and then and I didn’t visit a hairdresser in nearly 2 years. I am very very disappointed and unhappy and will not be attending that salon again, knowing it’s coming up to summer and I can’t wear my hair down on nights out and have to hide my hair, the salon has definitely not done my confidence any good.
