The Colour Lounge in Launceston is so much more than just a hair salon. It’s a whole experience from the moment you walk through the door.

You’re welcomed in such a genuine, friendly way, and immediately made to feel at ease. Abi really takes the time to listen to what you want, while also offering guidance if you’re unsure, which I find incredibly helpful. Her knowledge and talent really shine through, and you feel completely looked after.

It’s not just Abi either, the whole team create such a warm, caring atmosphere where nothing feels rushed and everything feels considered.

The little touches make such a difference too. From a proper cup of tea to the most amazing head massage when having your hair washed, it is honestly next level.
The reclining chairs at the sinks are so comfortable, it turns what’s usually a quick part of the appointment into something really relaxing.

I genuinely can’t imagine going anywhere else now.

If you’re looking for more than just a haircut; somewhere you can feel looked after, listened to, and leave feeling amazing; then I couldn’t recommend The Colour Lounge enough.

I’ve been coming to Abi for over a year to get my hair from a stubborn Henna (never do it!) to a beautiful lived in blonde and I also get kerastraight too. My hair always looks beautiful and Abi and the girls are always so welcoming, 1000% recommend!

I went to the colour lounge today for the first time and I have to say that Abi was absolutely fantastic. She explained everything she was going to do, advised what was best.

I went in feeling really drab and came out looking amazing. I would strongly recommend this salon. Everyone was really lovely and friendly and me feel really welcome and comfortable.

From the time of my consultation with Ashton she had a clear plan of what she was going to do with my hair to get the best outcome & consulted with me at every step of the process.I am absolutely blown away by the results, it is the first time I have loved how my hair looks. I was a difficult case - multiple box dyes over many years & the results she produced are absolutely beautiful. Leaving my hair with multi tonal highlights & in beautiful condition. She answered all of my questions with patience & understanding, discussed with me in detail the best plan for my hair & the products to use for aftercare. I am blown away & so happy with the service I received that I have already booked my next appointment. I was also offered lots of tea & biscuits. I cannot fault every part of the service & I would recommend the Colour lounge to anyone. Thank you so much to Ashton & all the staff at the Colour Lounge. They are amazing!

Excellent, attentive, precision hair cut!

I had an old colour that had grown out by about 3” and was now showing very dark roots with loads of grey in it. I’m new to the area and picked The Colour Lounge as I felt they would be able to help. From the moment I walked in Denise made me feel at ease, she really listened and made really good suggestions. I booked in and on the day she explained what she would like to do again, what would happen, why it would take a while and what she hoped to achieve, I was a little nervous but it needed doing. I have to say the final colour and cut is beautiful, im so pleased with it and her suggestions She coloured it in a way so that as the grey comes through it will blend and doesn’t stand out so much. I’m sooo pleased with the outcome come and can highly recommend Denise and The Colour Lounge, I will definitely be back.

Service at Colour Lounge is amazing. I have been a client of Denise's for a number of years now, and there's a reason I've stuck with her. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She knows me, knows my hair, and I trust her implicitly. I've tried many things over the years - perm, colours, cuts, and she always listens to me, and does her utmost to ensure the result makes me happy. Denise and the other staff at Colour Lounge are lovely and friendly. You feel welcomed and looked after. All round excellent experience every time.

On Saturday I had my first appointment with Denise and I wasn’t disappointed. I have short thick hair and was looking for a more textured less heavy pixie cut that was easy to look after with no fuss. Denise absolutely nailed it and I am so pleased with my hair. I have washed it myself today, no blow dry needed just a bit of salt spray and putty and it was done. Thank you Denise, looking forward already to my next appointment with you in six weeks.

Abi made me feel like a million dollars, her hair colouring is absolutely amazing, fresh white highlights. All her staff are super friendly and the salon is stunning. Even the hair wash basins are comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Always friendly and so professional. I came here a few years back and didn't really know anyone or have any confidence. The team are all so lovely and always welcoming (and we alwayshave a good laugh). My hair is the longest and healthiest it has been in 10 years. The colour is always lush and I leave feeling a million dollars each time I visit! When your hair looks and feels amazing it gives you so much confidence in yourself. I won't ever go anywhere else!

Came in with horse hair craziness! Left with my dream hair style and colour, Abi is a miracle worker, she even opened later just to accommodate me as I was only in the area a few days, you're made to feel valued as a customer, you get top notch coffee and biscuits, I always have issues with getting my hair done, I never walk out loving it! I did today, already booked my next visit. 😍
