It's difficult to believe that Clive and his team could deliver anything short of excellent service. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to get my hair cut.
Very good value for money. Excellent attention with discussion given about style and colour with both colourist and stylist before work was started. My opinion was listened to and made me feel involved.

I don’t usually get my hair done unless it’s desperately needing coloured but I felt like it was time to do something for me. On time, lovely person took my jacket, got me ready and shampooed me, no fuss, all efficient and wee head massage too was so relaxing. Clive discussed my needs/ wishes and cut my hair before choosing products to suit my hair for blow dry. Hair looked fab, just in time for my girls get together, which is so needed right now and I feel fab for going to it now!
Thank you Jade for once more cutting and colouring my hair to such a high standard, I always leave decisions with my hair up to you and you never disappoint.

After Covid lockdown my tresses required some TLC. Mac, as always, expert colourist and stylist. Went slightly shorter with my bob and also discussed with her a change of colour. Brilliant cut too. Final result brilliant as always. Mental health greatly improved. Would thoroughly recommend Shapes and Mac in Portobello. I’ve also had the other stylists and they are brilliant also. Tracy brilliant on advice on colour.
I had a lovely experience today, even though I appeared on the wrong day, they managed to fit me in. Very happy with the lovely lady who cut my hair. Felt safe with everyone wearing masks and keeping at a safe distance.
I visited ‘Shapes’ today for a half head of highlights and cut and blow dry for myself, a cut and blow dry for both of my daughters and a wet cut for my son after lockdown. Very pleased with the results, particularly with my younger daughter’s hair which was very long and tangled! The girls were very patient and understanding and her hair is in much better condition now!
