I love how my hair looks and sits when I visit Jay. She is able to achieve exactly what numerous stylists over the years have not. I think this is down to her skills and experience, but she makes it all look effortless.
I used to really struggle with the social side of going to get my hair done, but
Jay has a warm and accepting presence as a stylist. I really look forward to my appointments and can't speak highly enough of Jay and the salon.

Jay has single handedly restored my faith in hairdressers. I HATED getting my hair done, then I found Jay. She's laid back, shes understanding and she always creates something beautiful with my hair. She totally gets me and my style, so much so I've been happy to give her free reign. I have never stayed with a hairdresser for this long, even my son has started going to Jay to get his mullet cut regularly. I absolutely cannot recommend Jay highly enough

Jodie is the best hair stylist I’ve ever had I would genuinely travel hours to see her! She has been my stylist for the last five years.. I love a wee change- and literally every haircut has been like her reading my mind! Not only is she a true artist but the chat and the vibes are brilliant. Jodie has been working magic on my hair for 3+ years now and I never regret a visit to Rock N Rose. Everyone is super welcoming, and it’s the most relaxed I’ve ever felt in a hair salon. I genuinely used to hate getting my hair cut, but since coming here I now look forward to it and it feels more like getting to hang out with friends and coming home with a bonus hair refresh.

Jodie always tries to make my hair dreams come true, but she’s also realistic about what can be done to keep my hair looking at its best. It always feels super healthy after a visit, the colours are vivid and the cut exactly what I’m looking for. She’s also great at one-off event styles for weddings etc.

10/10 couldn’t recommend more!

I’ve had my hair done with Jodie for over two years now and she’s always done an incredible job no matter what I’ve asked for! She always understands exactly what I’m looking for and Is also so so friendly and easy to talk to :) I used to hate going to the hairdressers but it’s always been the most chill and relaxing experience ever since I started going to Rock n Rose, I leave smiling every time and with the biggest confidence boost ever!!

I’d never consistently gone back to the same person for my hair time and time again, until I was introduced to Jodie through 2 friends who are clients. And even though I never do anything wild and wonderful to my hair (I’m a blondie always), she does it better than anyone, and has made subtle changes to whatever we’re doing (money pieces, balayage, full highlights etc). She’s also helped me understand how to look after my hair better, and genuinely is just such a one of a kind soul ❤️ I’d recommend her to everyone time and time again, as my friends (also her clients) have too.

I have been going to rock n rose for quite a few years now. Honestly, I cannot recommend them enough. Such an amazing atmosphere. Never a dull moment. My hair is just how I want it every time. And let me tell you, I change this hair ALLLLL the time, so I appreciate Katelyn's patience with me. She's a magician. They also always have the best products in for helping with hair health, which I love. (K18 for the win btw) 🤘🏽

Katelyn is an absolute superstar! Been with her for nearly 3 years, and she always does an amazing job with my hair and whatever I ask for. She's taken my hair from dark to blonde and back again, and now my hair is the longest and healthiest it's ever been! I always leave feeling fab, and she is always up for a good yap with me too, so just 10/10 vibes all round! Already can't wait for my next appointment.

Katelyn is always so lovely when I come in and she always helps me decide what to do with my hair. Always enjoy coming in to the salon :)

I'm always hesitant going to the hairdresser because usually I come out feeling like an alien who was asking for something impossible and strange. Completely different experience- B listened and advised based on my hair type rather than something deemed societally age and gender appropriate! Didn't even go that wild, but may well do next time after this confidence boost! Fantastic team, lovely place, great value. Can't ask for more.

Been with B for 3 years now and never had any issues. Expert and pro at hair colouring, bleaching. Good at advising what is best for your hair type. Looks after hair like it’s gold. She always asks exactly how much you want cut off and not more than you want which is amazing. Great chats, great coffee and all round a very genuine lovely person ! Always walk out feeling brand new

Came in for a haircut and had the nicest time, everyone was so friendly and sweet. am definitely coming back to get it cut by B again later in the year

Never have I felt as cared about and looked after as B, my hair has been so looked after but so have I. I’ve had some bad experiences before but feel safe with bleaching and colour here!

I go to get my hair coloured and cut by B and I always leave so pleased and in love with my hair. She truly understands my visions and delivers exactly what I hope for if not better. B has a great energy and we always have a good laugh at our appointments. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

She is so fun and charismatic and know all different cuts, crazy colours and styles you never leave without feeling amazing!

Literally the best hairdressers ever!! I started going after Covid wanting to change my bleak damaged hair into colourful madness which was delivered. Jodie and myself instantly got on she made me feel so comfortable and takes on my crazy visions of looking like parrots 🦜 I suggest if you are even thinking about going you should not doubt and get yourself an appointment

jodie was fantastic and talked me through the entire process, as well as gave me extra helpful tips for hair care and colouring. wonderful experience and the staff where all very lovely.

I switched to rock n rose a few years ago now and I’ve honestly never looked back. The coolest, most fun, inclusive, chilled vibes! I go to Jodie and she is amazing, really listens to you and your vision, comes up with fun ideas and she’s so precise! Whether it’s blonde or a crazy colour she always does a great job. Haircuts are always fab too, her expertise really shows :)

Every time I come to see Jodie it’s like coming to see a friend whom I’ve known forever, kind and chatty with banter for days. I’ve always felt supported and understood when I spoke to Jodie about what I was looking for and never once felt judged or unwelcome - even when my hair had seen much, much better days.
I’ve even recently started bringing my 7 year old daughter in to get her hair done by Jodie and her patience with her is the best. Takes into consideration what my daughter wants, chats to her about what’s going on just like she would a grown up client.. it’s the lushest thing.
I won’t go anywhere but Jodie for my hair now, I’d drive for miles just to come and sit in her chair!

I have been visiting Rock N Rose for at least 4 years now, and I cannot recommend Jodie highly enough. She fully understands the assignment, not that I’ve had a new colour or style in a long time, but anything I say to Jodie, she executes it flawlessly. Not only do I leave with hair you’re creaming your pants over, but the vibes in the salon are immaculate. In all honesty, the stylists are friends that I get to hang out with once every 5 weeks. I’m not in a super formal environment, it’s relaxed, welcoming, and, overall a good time! I always have some sort of meal with me and it’s no bother to eat it there, I get coffees for the early morning appointments, and Jodie keeps me fed with snacks of the day. So as the title suggests, if you don’t go to Rock n Rose for Jodie to do your hair, get in the bin.

Jodie is the first colourist who actually listened and gave me what I wanted! She cuts brilliantly, and every time I leave the salon I feel a million dollars 💕

Jodie is the definition of perfection - every time I have gone to see her, she has made my hair dreams come true.
She takes her time with consultation, and gives advice based on what you want as an end goal. I have loved every appointment and the results are flawless.

I love when Jodie does my scalp bleach because shes so careful, she doesnt pull at my hair and is very careful there’s never any breakage after we’re done! Im in and out pretty quickly too which is a relief and theres just nothing bad about visiting the salon! She listens and makes sure I get what I want (which is really lovely) and just a relaxed atmosphere!

Been a client of Jodie’s and Rock n Rose for over 4 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The vibes in the salon are always immaculate, all the girls are so fun a kind and you instantly feel like part of the furniture. Jodie is a literal hair wizard, she will take any vision you have and bring it to life but also will not be afraid to tell you if something is not possible or won’t work for you and will help come up with a better plan. She is also an angel of a human.

My favourite hairdressers in Edinburgh. Everyone is so friendly and they do a fantastic job. I wouldn’t go anywhere else
