Kate is the absolute best. After being completely blue, Kate brought my hair back to life with my dream hair. It feels so good and healthy, and has done through the whole experience. Couldn't ask for a better hairdresser. The whole salon staff and environment is just the best.

B was so so lovely, and I felt so safe as she talked through my haircut with me!! (I literally don’t trust anyone with my hair, and yet she did such an amazing job). Atmosphere was so cool and lovely, will be coming back soon!!!

This was my daughters 1st appointment at a hairdressers, being autistic it was a huge deal but she loved every min and shes totally up for coming back . Thanks Jodie for giving Molly such a good experience. She had an awesome day.

Jodie was my gal from the first time I spotted her neon green hair through a window on a random stroll years ago. I wouldn't let any other hair stylist as much as breathe in the general direction of my hair at this point. She just gets it, and pulls off bloody miracles with her scissors and colouring skills. Show her the wildest photo of a hairstyle and she will always manage to find a way to make it work for your type of hair. No matter what crazy colouring request I've come with over the past few years, she always found a way to make it work on my pin straight thin hair (I'm sorry for giving you so much trouble over the years Jodie, I love you, I know the bleach baby pink to a dark purple probably broke your heart a lil bit). 10/10 I couldnt recommend another hairdresser or salon more, they're always realistic with the health and condition of your hair, but will find a way to make sure you're leaving that chair happy with the end result, and the banter is top notch. Thank you 🙏✨️

To say Jordan is a force of nature does not do her justice. Warm, friendly, full of fun and laughter, who instantly puts you at ease. She is an amazing hairdresser, and gave me a fabulous new hairstyle. I thought my friend was irreplaceable, but how lucky was I to meet Jordan.

I’ve been going here and having Leigh do my hair for a few months now, and honestly, this is the best salon I have ever been to in my life. I moved here from the US, and was apprehensive after having the same stylist for nearly a decade. But Leigh was amazing, as have been everyone else in the salon. I felt immediately welcome, cared for, and safe. I will never change salons again. Leigh is wonderful at working with me on exactly what I want, and making sure I understand the best way to go about things(I have dyed hair). I’ve never felt more comfortable with a stylist. Cannot recommend this place enough. And the price points are more than fair.

Honestly, one of the nicest cuts and experience I have had in a salon! B was amazing at decoding what I was looking for and was super helpful letting me know what would suit me as well! I was a wee bit nervous beforehand as it was such a big change but I am in love with my new hair and will be back for a colour soon!!!

Great salon, really welcoming and full of life. Love that it’s alternative as felt really at home and could ask for what I wanted. Jodie was super inquisitive about my hair needs and wants and what I do currently. Such a great experience that I will have to go back when my hair needs cut again.

I THINK the lady who did my hair is called Jodie but I’m not 100% sure. Anyways it was a lovely lady with blonde and black hair with the cool tattoos. She did my hair to perfection, I was actually blown away by how great it looked. I absolutely love my hair now and will be coming back in the future. Thank you!!!

Nicole is absolutely lovely and very professional, I always leave happy with the service. My hair feels amazing every time, and I can tell they use high-quality products. Rock’n’Rose offer free haircuts when donating over 12 inches to the Little Princess Trust which is amazing. I had a lovely experience and really happy with the outcome and the care taken to get my new short hair right. Great atmosphere and staff overall - thanks so much

Kate always listens to what I want and advises me well, leaves my hair looking soft and shiny and has helped me get it back to decent texture and condition over past two years. Highly recommend this salon

In love with my new haircut!

I was quickly called up exactly on time, then given a chance to talk to my lovely stylist before my hair was washed, then cut exactly as I wanted it, I had pictures to show and it came out almost perfect. I was also given styling and some advice on how to maintain the look. Jodie was lovely to talk to and let me guide my process while still chipping in their own ideas to give me exactly what I wanted

Eveytime I visit the Rock n Rose, I always come away with a great cut or beutiful and exciting colours, but also very relaxed and happy. It is such a nice space to sit back and get away from everything.

I've been cutting my own hair for several years as I really don't enjoy getting my hair cut. However! Katelyn was just great, asked for references on how I had my fringe before and figured how I would likely style the rest of it with 100% accuracy.

reallyyyyy in love w my new hair colour!! i was worried my hair wouldn’t lift light enough but jodie is like a miracle worker ! super nice too :) my only complaint is my fringe being a littleeeeee too short but that’ll always grow out anyway

Once again, Jodie was amazing! Went in with a bit of a big change planned and Jodie was attentive, understanding and so so supportive with my ideas! She explained the process, gave alternative ideas, tweaks and what we could do following this appointment. Sitting in Jodie’s chair is always a relaxing experience, chatting away and letting her work her magic. I left feeling like I’d spent the afternoon with friends, having had great banter and feeling like a new person!

Special shout out to Santella who is always so friendly, smiley and welcoming. Such a lush wee soul who makes me feel right at ease!

Had my hair styled with Braids and Viking runes! They did a fantastic job and they are incredibly friendly. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and they knew exactly how to make my hair look as good as possible!

Katelyn is a genius when it comes to hair, and is so good at making me feel great! Robyn was also amazing again, with a careful and gentle hair wash, accompanied by the best advice (for hair and life) and some great chat, and Santella was so helpful in booking my next three appointments in. I always feel like I've had a therapy session after a visit to Rock'n'Rose! From a careful consultation, cuddles with Britney the wonder-dog, two lovely cups of tea, genuinely great chat and a wonderful head massage, through to the wonderful skill of each stylist in the salon and their happiness in giving clients the hair of their dreams, I always feel completely comfortable, seen and lifted up here- there is no judgement and all are welcome- and my hair is a stunning combo of 5 sunset colours 🩷🧡💛💜🤎

Had a great time getting a reputation and style from Nicole. Felt listened to, options were discussed before starting and we finished with a fun curl, which I don't usually do with my hair. It's also refreshing to be in a hairdresser's where, as a person loving my silver, I'm not being convinced to get it blended. Instead I got a compliment on my natural highlights. It's just such a welcoming place, where everyone can make up their own mind about how to style and colour their hair, with expert advice. Thank you!

Truly not enough words for how highly I rate my experience - Robyn did an amazing job, it was a big change to my colour and she was brilliant. super helpful with helping me figure out the cut and explaining as she went and just 10/10 chat - 6 hour appointment was much more fun than expected and flew past. Jodie was also brilliant! Couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out and will be back for sure

I live over 250 miles from the salon but was visiting Edinburgh for a wedding, I booked the appointment via telephone and the first impressions were fantastic with very friendly and welcoming stylists.
Leigh thoroughly understood what I was looking for and gave me a lovely up do that complimented my outfit and fascinator for the special occasion. The service I received was nothing short of outstanding and I would highly recommend Rock N Rose Hairdressing!
