I'm very sorry because I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately now I have to. My visit was very unsuccessful. Even though the hairdresser was quite nice but not very talkative, unfortunately my haircut was crooked. I have layers that are crooked and look like stairs. The cut is terrible. I do not recommend them

As always, I am thoroughly impressed with the standard and customer service at this branch. The staff continually go above and beyond and you always feel welcome. Partnered with great advice and solutions to every situation, they truly are invaluable. Mhairi, again, as always, was phenomenal and is truly gifted in the profession.

Charlie's been my stylist for a while now, never been disappointed. The cut and colour have aways been brilliant.

Hairdressers I have absolutely rated and had the privilege of cutting my unruly locks include Charlie Miller & Neil Barton.
Charlie at Medusa, Elm Row, is up there with them. An absolute breath of fresh air, very knowledgeable and talented. Charlie has a fantastic sense of style and is also down to earth with a warm personality and funny but kind sense of humour.
My partner of 30 years commented recently that my recent hair cut was the best ever!
As one of his more mature clients I am hoping he will ‘see me out’!

Amazing staff and service. High level of attention to details and customer service, from hanging your coat upon entrance to serving water and coffee/tea while serviced. Charlie is fantastic!

I had a very pleasant experience at Medusa Elm Row where I had a restyle by Mhairi We discussed what I wanted and Mhairi explained what was involved and what would be suitable for me. I highly recommend Mhairi as a hair stylist

I felt my stylist really listened to how I like my hair to be done.

Having some pretty thick and stubbornly straight Asian hair that shows any line you cut into it, I tend to choose a hairdresser and stay loyal once I’ve found someone who can sculpt my locks expertly in each neighbourhood I’ve lived in. Mhairi at Medusa has a wealth of wisdom in how to treat and cut hair of all types and mixed the exact (and unexpected) shades and tones to turn out the warm chestnut colour I was looking for. It’s no mean feat to avoid the tipping point to ginger or simply dark brown with virgin black Asian hair! She can cut a straight line to perfection, or work a stubborn streak into a soft sweep. I highly recommend you book with Mhairi at Medusa!

I have been coming to Charlie at Medusa for a while now. Always a great cut, and relaxed and friendly environment. I would definitely recommend!

I booked my haircut spur of the moment after I had a terrible cut done somewhere else. Amy was kind and laughed about it with me which was exactly what I needed. She was honest about what had to be done and in the end I left with a respectable haircut! I'll probably go back to Amy after today. Used to have another hairdresser at a different Medusa who unfortunately left, so it's nice to find someone else reliable.

I’ve been seeing Lucy for a year or two now having really struggled to find a hairdresser I trusted and liked. She’s great, attentive and thorough, I’m always happy with my hair! Took the plunge to get some colour and I couldn’t be happier!

I have known Charlie for many years, and he has sorted many a disastrous hair colour. I have had either at my own hands, or when I have made a bad decision to go anywhere other than him! He listens carefully understands what needs to be done I have followed him from Salon to Salon, as I have never found anybody as professional, experienced or knowledgeable as him I would 100% recommend him to anybody.

I had a great visit. Mahri was warm and profesional and took care of my concern. She did a fabulous job correcting the colour I had.

After having a bad colour treatment done elsewhere, Charlie put me right at ease knowing exactly what needed done straight away towards correcting it as well as a plan for future appointments. I am delighted with the results. Thank you so much!

I usually stick with Kati at Teviot and thought I would give the new Elm Row salon a try. I’m growing my hair out (Chinese, thick, poker straight and heavy hair) and wanted a freshen up: lighten up, texture, shape and movement without losing length.
