Lovely experience on my first visit to the salon. Clair knew instinctively what colours would suit me and Bruce shared great tips to recreate my style at home. I felt very well looked-after. Wonderfully relaxing atmosphere - thank you!

The salon is lovely with a creative and warm environment. Mischelle was thoughtful and helpful throughout the consultation, and I couldn’t be happier with both the colour and the cut. Five out of five stars for everything!

So pleased, it feels an understatement to say Brute knows hair. Felt immediately at ease and already booked my next appointment.

This was my 3rd time to Mischelle and I couldn't be happier - I’m a regular now! She takes her time to really understand what I want but also what will (and what won’t) work with my hair. She gave me a low-maintenance colour plan to help my thick dark, hair embrace the grays, which suits me so much more than what I had before. 100% recommend. Have also gone to Bruce for a cut who was excellent (went with M instead due to availability but delighted I did), but fully recommend Bruce too.

A perfect cut as always. Bruce listens, advises and cares before even picking up his scissors. Such a skilled professional, you will be safe in his hands.

A haircut is a personal thing and while most rely on the quality of the hairdresser, which Bruce is one of the best in the business, a lot is about the friendly service and genuine care about what’s going on in your life and this is where Bruce Masefield brings the magic.

All the team are professional, friendly, welcoming and extremely good at what they do. I can honestly say I’ve never come out of the salon not loving my cut and colour.

Edinburgh has many brilliant stylists and colourists to choose from but once you’ve visited Bruce Masefield you won’t want to go anywhere else.

I arrived at my appointment on time and Mischelle was finishing her previous clients hair. She did apologise and say she was running a little bit late but unfortunately it was a half an hour wait until I was seen. I had another appointment to go to afterwards so only had 40 mins for the appointment rather than the allotted hour which meant that I didn't have time for a blow dry. Mischelle was very pleasant, it's just a shame that my first appointment at Bruce Masefield was not the experience I had hoped for.

Watching Bruce work whilst you sit in the salon is an experience in itself. Watching his clients leave the salon with an extra spring in their step is a special feeling and being one of those clients is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. He is fabulous.

Clair takes the time to think through your colour journey. You feel as if you are in safe and capable hands. A colour with Clair is like nipping over to one of your best friends houses to get your colour done but in a professional environment with tea/coffee and of course minstrels!

She also applied deference and care and sought and attained perfection, subduing every last stray hair with her blow drier and straightening iron. I left feeling like a million. She knew that there is no world I would switch from Bruce and yet acted like I was “her” customer proving herself to be a great team player too. It was worth the extra money.

I ve been looking for a hairdressing home since moving back to Scotland...I ve found it! The salon is fab and Mischelle was amazing. Friendly, uber professional and a high end service thats friendly and welcoming.
