I am sorry that you left feeling disappointed that we could not go ahead with the Mesoestetic Salicylic Peel on the day. I do understand how upsetting that must have been when you had booked the appointment and were looking forward to some time for yourself.

During your consultation, I felt it would not have been safe or responsible to carry out the peel because of the number of active products being used on your skin, including vitamin C, peptides, serums, retinol and a prescription-strength retinoid. With that combination, there was a higher risk of sensitivity, irritation or an unwanted reaction.

I know that was not the answer you were hoping for, but my decision was made entirely with your skin safety in mind.

I was pleased that we were still able to give you a gentler facial and massage so that you could have some calm time for yourself. As I explained when you left, there was no charge for this, and your gift voucher remains available for another appointment.

I am sorry I have not come back to you sooner about when the peel may be possible. I have had a family matter to attend to.

As I had already given you the safest next steps, I shall leave the decision with you as to when and how you would like to proceed with.
