After not having had my hair cut for about a year, Caroline expertly relayered it and advised on a small change, which I was initially slightly unsure about. However, I could see her expertise as she worked, so allowed her to go ahead - and she made a significant improvement!
I felt quite embarrassed after I had left the salon and realised the amount of time she had actually spent with me - far longer than the cut option I had chosen allowed for.

Previously visited the salon in Newbury but due to car issues chose the Thatcham salon for convenience, both experiences very different, Caroline at the Newbury salon was attentive and took her time asking me what I wanted and took her time doing my hair, the stylist in Thatcham (I can’t remember her name) seemed rushed and just seemed to hack away leaving me a little panicky so I left before getting it dried.
I’ve washed it this morning and the sides are very uneven and the back is too.
I will return to the Newbury salon in the future.

It was my first time visiting this salon and I think the stylist I had was a little inexperienced. My cut was shorter than I had asked and I was poked in the neck several times with the scissors which is not a little painful. I don’t think I’d return.

I’ve been going to Julians for more years than I care to remember, which is evidence of what I think of the salon! The salon in Thatcham is friendly, has a nice atmosphere and above all Julian is not only a very nice chap but a very good hairdresser who actually listens to his clients’ wishes, regardless of his “professional” viewpoint. The cost is quite expensive, but probably consistent with other good hairdressers locally.
