Was far from happy with the cut * colour l asked for. Was growing my short hair out but the scissor happy stylist had other ideas & cut the hair back short. Same said didn't seem so intent on me wanting a change in my hair colour, had to defend my decision that l was intent on a change. Reluctantly did the job asked but the colour faded drastically went yellow within a month after having the job done. Totally disappointed in an otherwise expensive visit that didn't go the way I expected!!
From the moment I step in the salon I know I will get a service and experience like no other. I won’t go anywhere else. I Love Ego where from the outset the expertise and advice given is excellent. All the team are professional and friendly. I refuse to go anywhere else and love Layla. Highly recommend !
It’s always a dream going to Ego’s to get my hair done, the staff are always friendly and feel more like family.
Layla works wonders on my hair with minimal instruction from my I literally trust her to do what she feels will look good on my hair as she knows me and hair so well now.

I came in to get colour and cut from this place - they did nothing but turn their nose up at me, this was during Covid. Didn't respect that I couldn't wear a mask and at the end, short changed me by £10! I'd never go back there again!

I wanted to grow my grey hair out and had quite a bit of growth, I asked the salon to give me highlights/colour so that it wouldn't be as noticeable, I was firmly told no as I had grey roots!!! I have been about 6 times before so I had given them my trade before and was shocked not even to be given a consultation, I actually did it myself and went to a barbers for a cut so I won't be going back anytime soon.
Had my hair cut here a few weeks ago. Only wanted a trim as I had been growing it out for months and generally have thin hair. Because of this I have been having a blunt cut for years to maintain the thickness at the ends. I also don’t use any heat products to avoid damage. Since my recent cut at ego my hair has lost its natural shape, wave and thickness. I can no longer leave it in its natural condition after washing, which I always used to. Without my knowing the hair has been thinned ?? using thinning shears?? The ends are extremely thin, dry and wispy. I have no idea how long it will take to regain my thickness and natural wave. I even asked the hairdresser during the cut to please not thin my hair but did not realise what was done until I washed out the style at home. Very disappointed overall - probably worst cut I’ve ever had.

I am struggling where to begin with this review because there is so much to say about my experience on 18th July 2019 at the Ego hair salon based in Tettenhall Wolverhampton. I was made to feel anxious, depressed and absolutely humiliated with the salon and the owners behaviour and attitude. The treatment I received from her and her team could be closely described as a nightmare. Her lack of professionalism, compassion towards clients and impertinent behaviour, is totally unacceptable.
***** who is a senior stylist was supposed to do balayage, roots, cut and blow-dry. As she washed my hair after the root colour and bleach, instead of brushing my hair while conditioning she shampooed it twice and left my hair as is which resulted in it getting so many tight knots and tangles.
I was alarmed and immediately started to panic as a senior stylist I would think her experience would not have allowed this to happen to any client. Her reply to the damage was
"I would've helped to detangle your hair but I've got other appointments that I have to attend to" so her focus was clearly on her next appointment, which was totally unprofessional.
***** literally left me in tears on the chair with a brush in my hand and a big bottle of conditioner to solve the situation myself. ***** the owner came over to inspect the situation and attempted to cover for *****'s mistakes and stated she will get someone else to help me. The apprentice trainee, I didn't catch her name, who was nice enough to help me, took her 3 hours to get the big knots out (formed while ***** washed my hair without conditioner previously) she was sympathetic and understanding. There was no other way to get it out but to literally to pull my hair out, breaking it, no conditioner, no treatment could detangle the big knots.
I felt very comfortable with Louise. She explained how she was going to get my brassy/dull hair to light blonde and that's exactly what she did! She was quick but I didn't feel rushed. I definitely recommend this salon and have booked to go back.

Although my hair didn't go quite to plan , I was made to feel really comfortable , everyone was really friendly & nothing was too much trouble . Caz explained everything she was going to do & I felt totally at ease with her , yes my hair needed to be a bit darker but better to be cautious, as she'd never done my hair before , and my hair still looks lovely xx
My hairdresser is amazing, I show her a photo of the style I want & she does exactly what I imagined, I can't recommend her enough. Having had a bad hair cut experience many years ago, hairdressers haven't been my favourite place, hence going years without haircut, however now I found Laura it's been more often than in the past. Very happy customer:-)
Very happy with my cut and colour today. Even though the staff are young and trendy, they don't patronise the older clients. It's not the cheapest, but the overall experience is worth it as are the results. Highly recommend.

I had a blow dry with Caz and was beyond happy, I've always had my hair done from ego and wouldn't change for any other salon. Staff are very friendly and the hairdresser is very clean and tidy. I would recommend t family and friends.. caz is amazing as I always have my hair done from her, she always puts a smile on my face whenever I have my hair done.

I am the worlds worst at going to have my hair cut but as always I am greeted as if it was only yesterday. It was two years. Grace did a fabulous job as ever & I am delighted with the cut.
My 6 year old daughter had her hair wash cut and dried. Staff are very friendly as always. Salon is always clean. The stylist was attentive . Both my daughter and myself were pleased with the finish. I always highly recommend this salon to friends and family always a nice treatment.
