I had Molly and Sarah as I had a cut and colour. Unfortunately the person I had before the last time, Callum had left and the person before him left. I only had him once.
The cut and colour was great, really liked the final result today, completely pleased with that.
There were just a few small things that would have made my experience more quality. There was no one at the front desk for a bit to welcome me when I came in, the girls washing hair didn’t even say hello, or someone will be with you in a minute, I felt very awkward.
When I used the toilet there were no clean hand towels, you’re meant to use them and put them in the bin for washing, this had been like this for a while as there were several used ones sitting there, which means customers were having to use dirty towels which isn’t very hygienic.
When I was asked if I’d like a drink I asked if there was Decaff coffee and soya or oat milk, to which the lady colouring my hair didn’t know the answer to any. Before when Lucy ran the shop she was able to do this for me without hesitation. I know it’s not a coffee shop but if they’re looking at good customer service I go for the ‘full treatment’ from beginning to end.
It’s a shame as these little things just didn’t make the experience as nice as I’m used to and having to have a different person cut my hair again was quite annoying.
Like I said I loved the final result hair colour and cut but the rest of the service was lacking somewhat.
There has also been overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke that comes from the back that goes through the whole salon, you’re using lovely smelling products and then this comes wafting through from the back garden where the staff smoke isn’t very nice, I have asthma and don’t like inhaling secondary smoke.
