Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts — and of course for being such a loyal client for over 40 years. That kind of loyalty really does mean the world to me and the whole team, and I never take it for granted.

I appreciate your honest feedback about the salon atmosphere. While no other clients have mentioned it recently, I completely respect your view. We did a full refurbishment in 2020 and a repaint in 2022, but I know how quickly fashions change, and I can see where you’re coming from.

After renting the salon for 36 years, I finally bought it outright, which is a huge step for me personally and for the future of Strands. Of course, this has meant all of my savings (and the salon’s backup fund!) have gone into the purchase, and now I have a mortgage to look after too. That’s why another refurbishment isn’t possible just at the moment. Before, with a lease ending, it wouldn’t have made sense to invest further. Now that I own the salon, though, I’ll be able to start saving towards the updates and little improvements I’d love to make in the years ahead.

In the meantime, please know that while the décor may not be brand new, what we’ll always invest in is the care, attention, and personal service you receive from Becky and the whole Strands team.
