This was my daughter's third visit to the salon. Earlier this year, she was charged £19 for a cut and blow dry. Today, on asking, my husband was told it would be £42 - an increase of over 100% in a couple of months! Her age (13) has not changed and neither had the treatment. My husband said that this was unacceptable and was then told that they could do it for £36. He said that this still wasn't acceptable and was then told that they'd do it for £28. Although he wanted to walk out, he didn't want to embarrass our daughter so said that she could have it cut today but that she certainly wouldn't be returning. On collecting our daughter, he was then told that they would do it for £25 and that a note would be put on file so that, in future, she would only be charged £25. This is still an increase of over 30% in a matter of weeks. Our daughter was pleased with her haircut but we were far from happy with the whole episode.
