Stepping into Strand & Lock is always a soothing experience. Any/all hair concerns just vanish. My stylist, the brilliant Jack worked his magic transforming my "tricky" hair into a great look. Plus adding a copper zest, just as I'd mentioned once before. Love it. Felt thoroughly looked after throughout my appointment. Great experiance, well helped along by Katy and very ably overseen by manager, Florence. Well done on providing a warm, inviting and great expirience.

I was looked after by Sienna, who I noticed isn’t listed on the list.

She was genuinely very kind and attentive - she checked in with me regularly, offered me a tea, and made the experience pleasant. She absolutely deserved the tip I left.

However, there were two things that left me a little disappointed.
I booked the Hydro Nourish treatment, which was described as an hour-long service, but it was only a 5 minutes hair mask. While my hair initially felt nice, it became greasy the next day (I apply hair mask at home regulaly and wash my hair every 5 days), which has put me off choosing this treatment again. I wasn’t expecting 1 hour long treatment for £30 but also not that as well.

More importantly, after looking at my hair the next day, I noticed that many (if not most) of my split ends hadn’t been trimmed. The cut itself was very quick (not longer than 5 minutes), my hair was split in half and then in 3 sectionson each side and basicallyjust trimmed to certain lenght.
I didn't say anything then because I expect every hairdresser to have their own way of cutting but this just left so many untrimmed ends that I can’t over look it. As someone whose hair splits quickly, I now expect I’ll need another cut much sooner than planned.

As a regular local customer who visits every 3–4 months, I felt disappointed overall, especially as the total came to over £100 including tip, and I didn’t feel I received value for that amount.

I got balayage done in a different salon but I couldn’t get my mind around the tone I got and ai was freaking out.
They made time for me on a very busy day and git me fixed. Very grateful for them. Great team!

She is an amazing professional, will take care of you in the best way. I came with a brassy hair due to failed hairdressers appts from a different place. My hair looks lovely and healthy. Follow up appt for hair colour was booked immediately as I fell in love with my hair instantly after she fixed it!! 10/10

I had a fabulous haircut today from Danielle! I gave her a very vague description of the restyle I thought I wanted, and she absolutely understood what I was saying and I couldn't be happier with the results. As a trans woman, I also felt really safe and welcomed here, I'd recommend Strand and Lock to any trans or NB people as a safe space to get a beautiful haircut :)

Barbara always makes having a hair appointment enjoyable and is very skilled especially with my difficult fine hair.
I wanted to rebook but couldn’t as I am not really happy to leave all my card details when I’m not sure about the security of that information
Also the salon today was incredibly hot can the temperature be lowered?

Danielle was really professional and did an excellent job.

The colour just melts into my hair, and I'm very dark but some how Sian manages to make it look natural. Money well spent and looks red carpet level quality. I love the salon, keep coming back because everyone's so talented and knows all the latest trends and advice has always been so sound.

I’m really happy with how my colour turned out the full head highlights and toner look bright, even and beautifully blended. Gennaro did a great job and the end result is exactly what I wanted.

The only issue was that I was overcharged on the day compared to the booking system, and my blowdry was moved from Jack to Gennaro without being told about the price difference. However, the salon corrected this quickly and refunded me straight away after I contacted them.

Overall I love the colour and appreciate the quick resolution, but clearer pricing on the day would make the experience perfect.**

Gennaro successfully corrected the colour from a previous treatment I had elsewhere. He is incredibly professional — during the consultation he took the time to listen, understand my concerns, and clearly explain what could be achieved.

I'm just sorry I didn't leave a tip an oversight that will be corrected on my next visit.

This was the second time I've done my hair in this saloon and have had exactly the same experience, although with a diferent therapist.
The person cutting my hair was lovely, very professional, polite and the results were exactly what I have asked for.
Important to mention that the reception person (on both occasions) could improve on their people skills.
