I had an extremely disappointing experience at Barnets Hair Salon with Massimo. I paid £220 for a Keratin Brazilian treatment to smooth and straighten my short hair, but after the first wash, my hair looked worse than before – frizzy and nothing like what was promised.
I contacted Massimo immediately after noticing the issue, and he offered to redo the treatment for free after my holiday. However, once I returned and tried to arrange an appointment, both Massimo and the salon became unreachable. No one responded to my calls or messages – it’s like they just disappeared.
I also sought advice from other professionals who told me that it looked as though no proper treatment had been done at all. I’m extremely stressed and disappointed by the whole experience. I feel like I’ve been ripped off and left with damaged hair instead of the smooth, frizz-free look I was promised.
I would not recommend Barnets Hair Salon based on my experience.

This best is an absolute gem, I travel from Norfolk every 6 weeks to get my hair done and have been for 5 years they make you feel special and cared for! Worth the travel, They would do there absolute best for you, best team! Hair gets compliments all the time!

Booked an appointment for 3 pm by 3:30 no sign of anyone even thinking about cutting my hair. When I decided to leave one hairdresser came over to say she was behind and cutting someone elses hair - well duh! Not even close to getting to me and seemed to think my time didn't mattrer I should just wait. Do not put yourself through it - go elsewhere!
Where do I start! As I sent them a message on Instagram they replied by saying they find my messages rude, personal and threatening and will not be responding to my messages and then blocked me! I simply asked for a refund after they had got my hair wrong TWICE. I asked for dark chocolate brown and they gave me toffee first time round, light brown hair second time around and I had a third appointment booked to get it the ORIGINAL colour it should have been. Dark brown is the easiest colour to do I wasn’t asking for blonde and they bleached my hair after I told them I did NOT want bleach after I hadn’t touched my hair for 4 years due to severe hair loss. I think the man called Mass/Maz who was the one doing my hair both times and rang me pressuring me to come in and claimed I said I wanted toffee hair responded to the messages and blocked me so no professionalism whatsoever. I paid £165 for a balayage and there is zero blend, it looks like my roots have just grown out. Shocking! Will be going to the ombudsman.
I specifically chose colour number 5 on the chart and Mass agreed, then while drying my hair he casually said he chose shade 6 and 7 and that’s why it’s lighter and to trust him next time as he knows best?? LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS AND DON’T BLOCK THEM WHEN YOU MAKE MISTAKES.

Firstly, the stylist was 50 minutes late. They then barely listened to what I wanted to have done. After repeatedly mentioning that I'd like to go darker I still came out blonde! The stylist didn't mention that they would be charging me for a full head of foils (on already blonde hair) when the foils were very scattered and were barely half head. I was told I would be charged around £70-£80 in total but when it came to pay I was well over charged nearly double that figure and unfortunately my hair looks worse than when I came in! Very disappointed and definitely not worth it.
