Having met Rachael last year at my first visit to Rainbow Room, Ayr, I have been back several times. Rachael is a breath of fresh air and I actually enjoy going for my appointment. I have never been someone who cared very much about my appearance and dreaded going to the hairdresser. Not anymore. Rachael listens to what I say and advises on the best cut/style and how it would look on me. I love my hairstyle and short is definitely for me. I feel comfortable and love our chats. I will definitely be back! The shiatsu head massage was just exactly what I needed at the end of a very long week. Thank you.

I returned back to RRooms , after my times before with Rhona who was lovely. I met Hannah for the first time last week, and have to say she is also fabulous & bubbly, and very professional. She will go through exactly what & how you want your hair before you even start. We looked at pictures, we talked, and got there in the end. Very patient as I couldn’t make my mind up 🙉🙈 . I will be back, with Hannah, in the future. The team are lovely & definitely work with their client. Highly Recommend. Very happy relaxed atmosphere. Thankyou x

Firstly thank you Hannah for fitting me in today. I had an appointment yesterday that was cancelled on Tuesday due to Ricardo being delayed in his way home from Dublin. Secondly a thank you to young Jo, she assists Ricardo and others too. Thirdly, and most importantly to Ricardo, who as always transforms my hair and my mindset.

I felt well looked after. I had a lovely little massage and a cup of tea. Hannah was great at talking through what I wanted and giving me advice.

Hannah’s consultation was excellent. The end result was better than I expected and I’m really happy with the outcome.

It is not just a style but a very enjoyable experience with Rachael

Hannah was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable and gave advice about what would suit me. She took time to teach me how to maintain my hair health and style. Most positive hairdressing experience I think I’ve ever had!

I was really disappointed with my experience, mainly due to the pricing, time spent, and final result. I paid roughly £342 for a colour correction, £173 for a cut and colour, and £140 for a colour, which I feel is extremely expensive for what was delivered.
I specifically asked for blonde hair and understand that achieving blonde can take time and multiple sessions. However, there was too much back-and-forth during the appointment, which made the process feel disorganised and inefficient.
Despite the time and cost, I still didn’t achieve the blonde result I wanted. Considering the amount paid, I expected a much closer outcome.
Hannah is friendly and professional, but treatments are often added automatically, which significantly increases the final bill without always being clearly discussed beforehand. This made the overall experience feel uncomfortable and lacking transparency.
Overall, I left feeling disappointed and overcharged. Clearer communication around expectations, organisation, and pricing would greatly improve the experience.

As always left the salon feeling much better than when I entered. From the cuppa and shiatsu to the fab haircut and styling tips, everything was just perfect 👌 Thanks again.

I’d just like to leave a review for an assistant, Ava that works in the Ayr salon. 
I’ve had the pleasure of being looked after by Ava since she started at the Rainbow Room in Ayr and she has been absolutely fantastic. She’s always really cheerful and bubbly, which instantly makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Her professionalism really stands out, especially for someone so early in her career. Ava is attentive, confident, and clearly takes great pride in her work.
The salon’s shiatsu head massages are a real highlight, and Ava is exceptional at them, genuinely relaxing and done with care. I’ve had my hair blow-dried by Ava on many occasions and have always been extremely happy with the results. She listens, takes her time, and consistently delivers a polished finish. Ava is a real credit to the Rainbow Room team, and I look forward to seeing her continue to grow and succeed in the salon.

I left the rainbow room in Ayr just about an hour ago after my haircut and blow dry, and stopped at a famous shop after. I was stopped twice at that shop to tell me my hair looked beautiful. I don't think I need to tell you more.
