Good service, price is only downside as it’s quite expensive for a basic cut

From the start, the stylist didn’t even greet me, just told me to sit at the basin. For the entire time, he looked at me and my hair with disgust, grimacing as though there was something wrong with me. He made rude, cutting remarks about my hair being “so dry” and “so thin,” with a tone that made it feel like an insult rather than professional advice. When he asked if I used to be blonde and I said yes, his response — “I can tell” — was dripping with attitude.

I have always been self-conscious about having fine hair, and instead of making me feel looked after, he made me feel humiliated. At one point he even held up the mirror as if to prove how bad my hair looked — it was quite cruel.

I had booked this appointment as a treat, to feel confident and look good for an event later that day. Instead, I walked out choking back tears, my self-esteem completely shattered. It’s beyond me why a professional stylist would go out of their way to make someone feel so awful about themselves.

This experience has honestly put me off going back to Hermans, or even to any hairdresser at all, because I now associate it with being judged and ridiculed.

Anna is a superb barber. She has a wonderful personality too and really looks after her clients.

Everything was really well done, Dennis was very understanding in exactly what I wanted, he checked in to make sure everything was okay like water temperature for example, so overall he did exactly what I wanted and even more, my jaw dropped.

Just left the shop, as usual Hannah spoiled me rotten. Had me in stitches laughing so not only did I look ten years younger I left in excellent form too. Have been visiting “Knights” for decades and have to say I am always extremely happy with both the cut I receive and the amazing service.
