Verity done my hair before lock down and I’ve been so pleased with it. She done such an amazing job that my hair looked the best it’s looked for an awful long time.
I had a wash cut, highlights and blow dry, I have had the best cut here with Verity than I’ve had for many years. All through lockdown I’ve been able to maintain my hair as the cut and colour Verity gave me was exceptional and a delight for me to look after. Thank you Verity

I've been going to Jon Sturgeon Hairdressing for 18 years and have never had a bad experience in all that time. I've read 2 bad reviews on here and I'm convinced they are from people that are from rival establishments or people that are out for something for nothing. All the staff including Adam who is the receptionist are polite, courteous and helpful. John, is a fantastic stylist as are the other members of staff and I wouldn't go anywhere else which is saying something as I have a 35 mile round trip to go there.
I have been going to have my hair done by Jon at Jon Sturgeobs for quiet a few years and have never been disappointed. Adam Kincaid who arranges the appointments to other stylists and juniors. Highly recommend a visit
I recently visited this salon for a cut and blow dry. The service was excellent and I felt very special. Very professional approach from the receptionist to the hair wash and finally the stylist.
I had a groupon voucher and over the phone the manager confirmed my hair was not 'exceptionally long' otherwise I would have to pay a £10 surcharge (not stated on groupon small print) either way the manager asked how long my hair was ( just below bra strap) he replied ' no problem thats not ' exceptionally long' When I arrive, the manager bends down in my face and says ' you will have to pay £10 as your hair is long' I said I checked over the phone and it was confirmed it wasn't in that category of 'exceptionally long' he than replied 'then go home and get a groupon refund!' Great customer service!! Then refused to give my coat back as I didn't want to "spilt the difference and pay £5 or even go sit back down and he will ignore the charge" it was about principle by now for me not price. He then said in the most nasty way ' OH GO ON HOME AND HAVE A LITTLE CRY THAN' All I can say is how shocked I am that anyone thinks it is acceptable to speak to a human being let alone a paying customer in such a spiteful way. I understand that with groupon the merchant is paid very little, then don't do groupon offers! The whole point of them is to get repeat custom at full price because you have had a brilliant experience. The "manager" should be very embarrassed and ashamed of his attitude towards people, let alone in a business which is 99% customer service.
The receptionist with the glasses has a huge chip on his shoulder. If I were Jon Sturgeon I would sack him. His manner was rude, arrogant and intimidating. I was gobsmacked by the belittling way he spoke to me and everyone I've reported his verbal abuse to as been horrified. He even shouted out to me up the street!!!? Wonder how those Anger Management classes are going...
