I used to go to Westcroft branch all the time to see Rachel and it was very good. Gone downhill since she left. I had a cut and blow dry with the most senior stylist today and she did not listen to what I wanted, cut it too shorty with even shorter choppy layers which look lopsided and are awful to manage. It is not at all what I wanted. The blow dry was so terrible, I looked like a poodle and left the salon immediately looking for a hair bobble to tie it back because I felt embarrassed. It is going to take ages to grow this mess out and I certainly won’t ever go back. £70 to feel awful.
I visited the Kingston ‘blonde specialists’ and it was the worst mistake of my life. The ‘stylist’ turned my roots bright orange - not what I asked for. This was back in July. I am still going through a correction process at another salon.
My hair is naturally dark blonde ashy toned. Which is what I wanted put through with white blonde. Where the colour was put all over - unfortunately it’s taking me a few sessions to get back to it’s original state.
I spoke with the company who refused a refund; I sent photos and they sent me to their Newport pagnell salon - they did what they could with the state it was left in but was not perfect.
Zig zag are over priced - £120 I paid for ruined hair. I was so embarrassed when it was done I didn’t know what to say. It wasn’t until I got in my car in natural daylight I realised the extent of how bad it was.
They still send me texts and Facebook messages ‘hi babe been 14 weeks since your last appointment’ which is highly annoying considering. And I wasn’t even given a follow up phone call/partial refund from one of the directors I spoke with.
Avoid at all costs! This site unfortunately won’t let me give zero stars!
Unfortunately, the music that is now played in ZigZag Kingston is extremely loud, and better suited to a nightclub. Even noise-cancelling headphones don't block it out, and instead of a relaxing few hours getting my hair done, it has become a stressful experience. It is for this reason that I have left ZigZag after 20 years.
